UNITED
CHURCH
HERMANUS
To worship God
To follow Christ
To heal a broken world in His name.
Life Groups
The main purpose of our life groups is to help each other become more mature disciples of Jesus. As we do life together in the Word, we want to encourage and challenge each other to grow in our knowledge of God, our love for Jesus, our likeness to Him, and our commitment to living for His glory.
God has made us to live for something much bigger than ourselves. He has made us to love him and love others. Due to the growing size of our church it is not possible to know everyone in the same way. Life groups are a great way to be better known and cared for, and to love and serve others.
Some of the main ingredients of Life Groups are…
-
Bible Study – discover more of God in His Word and how to live for Him
-
Prayer – bring each others needs before the throne of grace
-
Fellowship – enjoy & deepen friendships as brothers & sisters in Christ
-
Pastoral Care – look after one another (and ‘adopt’ a few others)
-
Mission – partner with each other in sharing the gospel with others
Want to grow in your relationship with Jesus? Want to get stuck into God’s Word? Want to meet with other Christians to support them and be supported? Then join a Life Group, and meet weekly with a bunch of people from United Church Hermanus.

No matter where we are in our faith, fellowship provides us with strength. Being around other believers gives us the chance to learn and grow in our faith. It demonstrates to us why we believe and is excellent food for our souls.
