Annemarie has put together guidelines to help us to pray together at 8.00 each evening.
PRAYER GUIDELINES FOR WEEK 15
This week we focus on the holiness of God. Let us worship Him for His holiness.
Please pray the Scriptures in the first person – make it personal and from your heart.
Then continue to intercede for our church,
community and country as the Holy Spirit guides you.
Great and marvellous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty.
Just and true are your ways, King of the ages.
Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name?
For you alone are holy.
All nations will come and worship before you,
for your righteous acts have been revealed.
Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty;
The whole earth is full of his glory. (Isaiah 6:3)
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name;
Worship the LORD in the splendour of his holiness. (Ps 29:2)
You are to be holy to me because I, the LORD, am holy,
And I have set you apart from the nations to be my own. (Leviticus 20:26)
O LORD, are you not from everlasting? My God, my Holy One, we will not die.
O LORD, you have appointed them to execute judgment;
O Rock, you have ordained them to punish.
Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrong.
Why then do you tolerate the treacherous?
Why are you silent while the wicked swallow up
those more righteous than themselves?(Habakkuk 1:12-13)
Let them praise your great and awesome name – he is holy.
Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy.
Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his holy mountain,
For the LORD our God is holy. (Ps 99:3,5 & 9)
For this is what the high and lofty One says –
He who lives forever, whose name is holy:
“I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit,
To revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.” (Isaiah 57:15)
He provided redemption for his people;
He ordained his covenant forever –
Holy and awesome is his name. (Ps 111:9)
Holy, holy holy
Is the Lord God Almighty,
Who was, and is, and is to come.
